Tuesday 12 Qs: LeBeau, Geno, Pedro, Jordan

The focus has been on the future of Russell Martin, and rightly so, but do you feel the Pirates will make any type of effort to bring back Liriano? He has been unarguably the best starter each of the last 2 years, and the rotation is looking pretty thin after Cole in 2015

DK, can you explain why the Steelers continue to use the bubble screen when it's obvious that it's either not working or working so infrequently that it's not worth using?

You've been pretty critical of the Bylsma system not just this year but in the past. Others now seem to be jumping on the anti-Bylsma system bandwagon. Have you gotten any of that vibe coming through the players . . . are they glad to be in a new system?

DK,
Given the Pirate's pitching rotation, bullpen and offensive lineup, would the Pirates have stacked up better playing the Nationals in a best of 5 game series rather than the 1 game Wild Card Game against the Giants?

What are your thoughts on Kris LeTang? In my opinion Kris he is extremely athletic and infinately talented but has some very significant lapses in judgment. Turnovers on the breakout from behind his own net and his historic inability to effectively qb the power play in my mand make his contract excessive. Will he ever develop the hockey sense to go with all that raw talent?

DK - I sense a theme in your Steelers' pieces that the coaches are not taking advantage of the player talent at their disposal. It seems to me that the coaches are forcing all players into their systems, rather than fitting the systems to the players. How can that be fixed?

Recent subscriber DK, great stuff!
Do the Steelers have any coaches who are considered a "gameday" coach? The lack of adjustments are disconcerting. How about this for an idea, coordinators in the booth? Maybe a new perspective is literally what we need?

What is Tomas Vokoun's status? Any chance of him coming back to Pens?

Wheaton has what the steelers need, which is someone that can stretch the field. By all accounts he works hard and has the skill set. Why are we not trying to find him with the long ball? The screens will open up if you try and stretch the field.

Assuming both Kapanen and Sundquist don't make the NHL roster full-time (not saying they won't, just a hypo), where will each play this season? Both are eligible for the AHL if their European teams approve. Would those teams approve? Which place is best for their development?

With Kelvin Beachum’s poor play over the past two games, is there a possibility that Marcus Gilbert will move over to the left side?

DK, relative to Fleury's contract status after this season, is it realistic to believe the Penguins would simply allow his term to expire and virtually get nothing for him in return, compared to utilizing him as trade bait for the coming year?

Hi Dejan. When does free agency start for baseball, and can the Pirates sign their own before that, or is there a moratorium on signings until after the post-season?

Which of the Penguins trade assets do you think are most likely to be moved this season? And which players would you most like to see in a Penguins uniform to address the issues preventing us from being true contenders?

The past two NHL season schedules have been crammed due to the lockout and the Olympics. Does a more-relaxed schedule help or hurt the Pens?

If you were told you could no longer write in Pittsburgh, what other sports town would you choose to work in and why?

DK, With Maatta recovering faster then expected will the Pens trade Martin sooner then later? If so, assuming Kapanen stays with the team will the Pens target someone for the top 6?

While I believe that Shazier will be a very good pick and hindsight being 20/20, would it have benefited the Steelers to trade down to acquire more picks and draft Kelvin Benjamin? It looks like he is going to be a stud and there were reports that the Steelers were high on him going into the draft.

What are 3 reasons why Pitt shouldn't fire Paul Chryst at the end of the season?
or
What are 3 reasons to keep Chryst another year?

Dejan, What's your assessment of Dri Archer? I'm not so worried about the lack of production as much as the impression that he doesn't yet seem to be even on the verge of making any "splash plays."
