Devils 3, Penguins 1, final

Depends on your definition of "players".

Waiting for real wingers, and finally deciding to go it alone!

Waiting for the real Sid. This winger thing is getting old.
Ya, at the moment with the WB line up ,aint the super talent there.
Change you game a bit Sid, shoot, go to the net, no point fancy passing.

Certainly getting old. Hossa in 2008 last elite W for Crosby. Kunitz helped Crosby elevate for a year or two. But not in playoffs for awhile. Never seen talent at this level so bereft of talent to play with for so long.

Kunitz has been awful at min since after the Olympics last year IMO, and really before that too. He doesn't help Crosby the way he did in 09-10. Incredibly lazy on his skates.
Maybe his foot is broken again who knows. But our onLY marginal top6 W is Hornquist at moment.
Oh, and Geno. Great that he and Sutter have such chemistry. Not.
I'd be putting Geno w Sid. I mean WTH why not try for one line at least....

Nice giveaway by Kunitz leading to their 3rd goal

And thanks to Ray Shero, we've got him for 3 more years of diminishing returns. Not good.

When somebody runs your goalie, you have to do more than nothing.

Hahahahahahaha. Well done.

Megna just doesn't impress me at all.
The Pens are so thin at up-front talent in Wilkes-Barre.
I'd trade him for Jagr.

Agreed. I haven't been impressed.

Sure is.

Makes you appreciate Hornie down low and the need to get Letang off it.

"Spoiled"? The typical response of some half-wit superfan when the team is playing bad; It's the fans fault.

Yeah, right.

Eddie, you're sorely mistaken if you are suggesting this team is playing bad. This team is playing at nearly max potential. When you're used to having all those talented starters playing, it's unfair to expect the replacements to fill those shoes. Hence, the reason they're replacements in the first place. What happened, ya get spoiled watching all the starters being healthy and clicking as a team at the beginning of the season?

ajbeam7 - If this organization had the proper depth that a championship caliber organization should have (thanks, Ray Shero), the replacements would be able to capably fill the shoes (skates). Spoiled? No, I consider it expecting to get what I pay for when the team charges what they do for tickets, and market themselves as one whose standard is Stanley Cup championships.

I wasn't blaming anyone. All I was saying is temper your expectations when you see two AHLers and Nick Spalling in on your top two lines. And 3 of 4 top defense-men missing. Fleury wasn't going to keep up the .930 Save%.

Not sure what championship caliber depth is in the salary cap era. Championship level teams have the fortune of not getting injured.

And sorry I think it is a little spoiled to to starting asking what happen to the level of play of a skater who had 104 points last year and no other skater had >90.

Robsdaddy, are you seriously of the opinion that this team doesn't have depth? Blake Comeau was bottom six when everyone was in the lineup. Steve Downie is a solid bottom six winger. Brandon Sutter would center a second line on a lot of teams. Beau Bennett, if he ever plays more than a ewek at a time, has spent lots of time on the third line. But let me reiterate. Comeau was playing bottom six when everyone was in the lineup. How can you seriously argue this team doesn't have depth with the exception of Zach Sill hanging around. I respectfully and wholly disagree that this team has no depth.
