Houston 35, Pitt 34

I don't understand comments like this one. What you're really saying is that there are too many bowl games for your liking. All of these bowl games give coaches and players a chance to practice more and have something to look forward to over their holiday breaks. And I can't believe that these games are bad for the economy where they're being played.

If you don't like all of these bowl games, there's a simple solution for you.

As far as practicing at a high school facility, good. Let's sometimes stop treating these players like prima donnas and bring them back to where things got started for them. Let that be a humbling part of the experience. I have heard of NFL players working out in the offseason where they played their high school ball.

Mug,
Do you seriously believe anything is gained by extra practice... especially seniors?
Do you seriously believe either team should be playing in a bowl game?
The reason for practice at HS facility is because this is a bush league bowl game!!
That is why I don't watch many bowl games...
Most are not worth the time.

What harm is there in extra practice. There are a lot of bad regular season games too. For all bowl teams except for 4, all this is to me is an extension of the regular season. Who cares where they practice. If there were 55 bowl games, would it matter to you?

Most bowl games are not worth whose time?

Yes, I remember those 6-5-1 Panthers of 1973 earning their way in to the Fiesta Bowl that year. By the way, check out the "on campus" stadium home crowds that year....28,332 against Baylor, 25,054 against Tulane, 33,136 vs. Navy, 24,932 vs Syracuse and the obligatory sellout vs Notre Dame of 56, 593.

Lucky, I was thinking about last night!

Let's hope the Bucks can beat the Ducks.

I'll hope with you, John.

He may not come after watching Houses' pathetic defense. Slow, slow, slow.

Apparently Klinkhammer goes too

... and the Klinkhammer.

Calendar turns. NHL GM'S wake up.

He scored 28 goals last year and makes 3.8 thru next season

I can't say why I like it, ... but I like it. Pens need skilled forwards.

Glad he came back from that slip on 1st drive. Not the time to get a bad injury, not that there ever is.

His act is really getting old

Kevin,
I think you lack reading comprehension skills.
I didn't say anything about Pitt in my post.
Just the ridiculous bowl games (Pitt as well as others participating in).
Didn't know you ran this site!!! Go back and shake your pom poms at pantherlair.
I'm pretty spot on with my critique.

"Pretty ridiculous for a Bowl game to be played at TCU’s stadium on their campus. Practice at HS stadium.
What a joke of a bowl game." I'd say that's all about Pitt. Just stop. My reading skills are just fine.

Does Pitt have any good linebackers?

Was that a rhetorical question ? :)

I hope this coach can work wonders with the D, cause the cupboard looks awful bare to me

Linebackers have no speed. I wonder if any of them run under a 5.0????
